“Good read for…the fantasy world of covens.”

GARING CROSS

… Written from Jess’ point of view, the author, Joe Cooke, takes his time to thoroughly develop the story, laying the web of unanswered mysteries carefully. Just when one starts wondering if there is a story, he begins revealing why Jess is plagued with so many questions and her feelings of fear. Finally, the mysteries are solved and Jess finds the answers for which she has been searching. The book might start out a little slow, but I found it captivating and well written. There are a couple of lose ends left unanswered that leave the reader wondering (hoping?) if a sequel is being considered.

If you are looking for a good read for your teenager who enjoys the fantasy world of covens, then this book fits the bill. It is an easy read that isn’t too long so there shouldn’t be more than one late night of reading under the covers to finish the book.
